A 101.36-carat “mega diamond” fetched over $4.9 million at Christie’s New York Important Jewels sale on October 22. The cushion-cut diamond, graded L color and VS2 clarity by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), is shown suspended from a black silk cord with pavé diamond accents in platinum.
