Kristen Chenoweth has spent decades as a darling of stage and screen. She is known not only for her acting but that big voice that seems to fill an entire theatre space.
Kristen won her first Tony award for her work in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She played Charlie’s little blonde sister, Sally, and won her 1999 Tony. Then the role blew her right into the mainstream, originating the role of Glinda in Wicked on Broadway. Glinda was my first introduction to Kristen Chenoweth, and I have loved her ever since. Hilariously, my little was introduced to her in her take on Malificent in the Descendents franchise.
Kristen has been engaged once before but has never been down the aisle. She met Josh Bryant when his band (Backroad Anthem) played at Kristen’s nibling’s wedding. They were first reported as being an official couple in 2018. Growing even closer during their time sheltering in place in NYC together during the COVID pandemic. A time where many relationships were tested in several different ways, they found that theirs was stronger!
Josh is about 14 years Kristen’s junior, and they spent a lot of time creating TikTok videos together. Creating content for the video platform is something that she credits Josh with guiding her on. What a fun way to reach out during what was an isolating time for many.
When Josh decided to pop the question, he made a great show of it. He asked her on bended knee on a rooftop of New York City’s Rainbow Room. With the city skyline behind them, she gave him a big yes! The ring was a three-stone as a reflection of their shared faith. The ring symbolizes the Holy Trinity, which is important to both of them and their journey together.
“My best friend and soulmate said YES to me! Kristin is my world, my everything, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her,” Bryant gushes.
The three-stone is created with 3 stunning ovals (De Beers Forevermark by Rahaminov). He entrusted his gorgeous stones to Bruce G. Weber Diamond Cellar in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There are a total of 58 small diamonds in the ring and in the halos surrounding the ovals. Beautifully done and a lovely testament to their shared faith. “I’ve been the runaway bride,” Chenoweth jokes. “Now that I’ve found him, I won’t let him go. I will race to greet him at the altar.”
Now if only Kristen were planning to do Funny Girl, she could be “Sadie, Sadie, Married Lady.” Kristen’s triple-threat act has joined her fiancé in the Country music arena, taking on duets with the likes of Reba McIntyre and Dolly Parton. Perhaps Josh and Kristen will go on the road together at some point, a Honeymoon tour even?
The music at this wedding is going to be top-notch and the guest list will be amazing. As for me, I will be reading about it and will be on the lookout for the jewelry that makes a debut at the festivities!
Do you prefer a solitaire, a three-stone, or a different style of engagement ring? Let us know in the comments, we’d love to hear your thoughts.
