Jewelry for Beachwear

Beach fashion is for everyone! When we consider jewelry summer looks, 2020 is an anomaly. Since last year most of the jewelry looks were geared around zoom appearances, we are just skipping right over it. In recent years, other than 2020, we have seen a look that was surprising but delightful. Jewelry at the beach is happening, friends!

For ages, it was most common to consider jewelry at the beach a no-go, unless it was strictly costume. Jewelry actually looks pretty great with swimsuits and beachy salt waved hair. A lot of delicate yellow gold necklaces are turning up on sun-kissed skin. Honestly, after a year at home, it is a breath of gloriously fresh air. No matter your skin tone, the sun, surf, and sparkle look is for everyone.

I think that my favorite look is the stacked necklaces, it gives the look a bit more boho fun in the sun friendliness when sitting against sandy skin. Now, I do not encourage anyone to wear their jewelry into the water. That risk just doesn’t seem worth it to me. Poolside, or sunning on the sand though, it’s looking great!

That begs the question, do you wear your bling at the beach? If so, what is the determiner for you if a piece is ok to wear at the beach?

I put together a couple of looks that I would be happy with, it was a fun exercise but as a reminder, I do not encourage anyone to wear jewelry into the water or in situations where it could be lost, broken, or ruined.

This beach look feels fun and relaxed to me, while still lovely. Don’t forget the all-important sunscreen. Enjoy your time at the beach without having it ruin your next few days (or more).
