According to international press, three coordinated bombings hit Mumbai between 6:50pm and 7:00pm on July 13. Targeted were the Zaveri Bazaar, the Opera House district, and the neighborhood of Dadar. One of the three explosions that rocked Mumbai’s rush hour on July 13 took place outside the Panchratna Building in Opera House, the city’s traditional diamond district, according to reports from the local and international press.
A second explosion was reported in Zaveri Bazaar, a site of numerous local jewelers.

As the head of the Rapaport office noted in her eyewitness account, with bombs exploding in both Opera House and Zaveri Bazaar, it does appear the trade was targeted. There is some question exactly where the bomb went off; according to the Times of india, it went off outside Panchratna Building in Opera House, which is filled with diamond traders.
