How many Pricescope members have wanted to try on jewelry from their computers? Thanks to Holition, a UK company dealing in 3-D reality technology, we can. Holition has collaborated with De Beers to launch “My Forevermark Fitting,” a site that allows users to virtually try on the company’s diamond jewelry. The technology shows users how jewelry actually looks and moves on the body in real time.
So, how does it work? A webcam and Forevermark cut-outs allow users to virtually wear the brand’s rings, earrings, and pendants in 3-D. Users can also choose specific carat weights and metal colors depending on each design.
”Not only does the experience reflect all the beauty of a Forevermark diamond, it is also a remarkable digital achievement to have jewelry moving with the wearer in real time,” said Forevermark’s chief executive, Stephen Lussier.
