Oval cut continued to hold second place, showing a significant surge in popularity. Its market share grew by 22.74%, rising from 5.19% in November to 6.37% in December. This upward trend underscores its appeal as a distinctive yet classic choice for buyers seeking alternatives to round diamonds.
Emerald cut gained traction, climbing from fourth to third place with a 22.68% increase in popularity, growing from 4.41% in November to 5.41% in December. This highlights a renewed interest in its sleek architectural design.
Pear cut rose from fifth to fourth place, with an impressive 28.27% increase, reaching a 4.99% market share in December compared to 3.89% in November. This rise reflects an evolving consumer taste that favors the pear shape’s unique silhouette.
Meanwhile, cushion cut slipped from third to fifth place, despite a modest 0.62% increase, moving from 4.82% to 4.85%. Its enduring vintage appeal continues to resonate with a niche audience, though its ranking shift suggests growing competition among other fancy shapes.
