In June 2024, round diamonds continued to be the most popular shape of diamond on the market, making up 85.49% of popularity and increasing by 3.04% in popularity since May 2024. Oval remains in second place although decreasing in popularity by 23.86% since May 2024. Emerald remains in third place although decreasing in popularity by 13.33% since May 2024. Cushion remains in fourth although decreasing by 14.18% since May 2024. We welcome Princess back to the Top 5 Popular Diamond Shape Chart moving Pear into sixth place since May 2024.

This June the average price per carat for a round diamond of 1 – 1.19 carat G color VS1 clarity is $6,147 compared to May 2024 which was an average price of $6,554. The average price per carat for round diamonds has decreased by 6.21% since last month.
