“Each November our NYCJW platform hosts an annual jewelry week, a week-long celebration that invites a global audience to experience the world of jewelry in NYC. Our hybrid program blends in-person experiences with virtual engagement and programming, as we host the best and brightest in the industry to deliver thought leadership, exhibitions, shopping experiences, retail collaborations, and first-look designer discovery. NYC Jewelry Week is free and open to the public, modernizing how the world thinks about jewelry by bringing together everyone from the window shopper, to the avid collector.” (Source: NYCJewelryWeek.com)

Connect with your fellow designers, and dream mentors, and build relationships with your community while admiring and bidding on our beautiful prizes sponsored by Ben Bridge and a Black-owned jewelry line. Our mission at BIJC is the advancement of Black professionals in the gem, jewelry and watch industry. We are powering events that facilitate the opportunity for industry members of all walks to gather, network and collaborate on thoughts and ideas.

Each year they present three financial awards to select honorees of the platform. The awards are sponsored by David Yurman and Halstead.
The evening includes an auction for a $1,500-$2,000 piece of jewelry from a black-owned jewelry brand and BIJC member and a painting by Aramis sponsored by Ben Bridge. Auction tickets start at $20 and event admission is $50.

A Panel Moderated by Victoria Gomelsky
Join Victoria Gomelsky, editor-in-chief of the jewelry trade publication JCK and a frequent contributor to the New York Times, as she speaks to a handful of panelists familiar with A.I.’s applications in the jewelry trade about the hidden power of algorithms, and what to expect from A.I. in the near future.
Artificial intelligence is often talked about as a development that will affect the future of the jewelry industry. And while that’s true, it’s also true that A.I. has already changed the industry in meaningful ways, from the manner in which diamonds are graded to how jewelry — especially at the highest reaches of the luxury universe — is designed, manufactured, marketed, and distributed around the world. We speak to a handful of panelists familiar with A.I.’s applications in the jewelry trade about the hidden power of algorithms, and what to expect from A.I. in the near future. Featuring: Matthew Tratner, general manager and vice president, Sarine North America, and Casey Melvin, co-founder, The Future of Jewelry. Moderated by Victoria Gomelsky.
