There’s this misconception that tourmaline just comes in pink but it actually comes in a variety of colors. Blue (Indigolite), Paraiba, Rubelite, Verdelite, Parti-Color, Cat’s Eye, Green, Pink, Olive, Bi-Color, Chrome, Golden, Black, and Tourmalinated Quartz. Tourmaline’s array of colors can be so rich that they can often be confused with other colored gemstones such as sapphire and emerald.

Tourmaline has a mineral hardness rating of 7 to 7.5. Therefore, tourmaline is quite a durable stone. It may not be at durable as a diamond but you can wear tourmaline in everyday jewelry from rings to earrings and pendant necklaces.
