For Sale 0.70CT Edwardian Platinum OEC Diamond Stud Earrings

Listing a pair of gorgeous OEC studs with a delicate millgrain bezel, all in platinum. Purchased from A.Brandt & Son last year.

I don't have colour/clarity details for the stones, unfortunately, but they are the perfect size for everyday wear. I love the hexagonal bezel, which makes them look larger than their 0.35ct size (0.70ctw).

I have managed to track down all the details:

A stunning pair of diamond stud earrings from the Edwardian (ca1910) era! Crafted in platinum, each gorgeous stud adorns a single old European Cut diamond set within a octagonal box setting. Each stone rests within a curved martini-style setting, which has a u-shaped back mounting, allowing the diamond to closely hug the ear. Together, the diamonds have an overall weight of 0.70ctw combined, exhibiting VS-SI range clarity and I-J range color. The facets catch the light brilliantly with every turn and fine milgrain detail on the setting adds a lovely feminine touch. The back of each stud reveals a simple post and earring back stamped with a "950 S" platinum purity mark. The pair are absolutely stunning when worn and would make an elegant everyday accessory!


Measurements: Each earring measures approximately 5.5mm tall and wide, and have a depth of about 1/4".

Condition: The overall condition of the earrings is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum setting or posts and both diamond stones are intact and securely set.
