Is anyone is interested in this before I send it off to GIA next week? I don't need two trannies with the same color and I haven't done anything with them yet, so I should sell one even though I don't really want to. If nobody buys it then it's a sign that I'm meant to keep it!

Half of me really doesn't want to sell it! But the reasonable half knows I need to cut this hoarding down so I'm sort of making an effort by listing it for 4 days. I have another with the same color that is slightly bigger with chunkier faceting, and I don't need both. The other one is in a brooch and I don't have the heart to remove it just yet, so I can't send it to GIA before they raise their report price. I'm curious to see what color it will grade, and what cut they will assign. Knowing me, I probably wont want to sell this after GIA grades it, but at least I tried, right?

I do want to mention that the pictures with the black background shows the yellow at its most. It doesn't always look like that because Rs shouldn't look that saturated!!

Honestly, I see it in a yellow gold bezel. I'm not sure how well the yellow in the diamond will go with rose gold. I usually prefer diamonds with a brown modifier for rose gold. (not a very good salesperson, am I? haha) If you want I can take a picture of it on a penny and also on a pile of yg chain, you can be the judge of that. That will have to wait till tomorrow because it's not with me today.

I think it would look *awesome* in yellow gold, preferably 18K!

I totally and completely agree! The stones with brown modifiers do well with rose gold and the yellow needs yellow gold to enhance it's color. I have thought that over and over here and am glad to see someone else say it!

I surely would like to see all the stones you might potentially sell!

If I wasn't taking a rather large pay cut, I would snap this baby up myself... Smaller paychecks= no diamond purchases... I'm really banking that not hating my job will give me better quality of life, so I won't need retail therapy to make myself happy ;P

Ah, FK, this one's killing me! I want it so badly but just can't swing the $ at the moment. I, too, would love to know what else is in your might-be-sold-someday pipeline. I just have to hope when the time is right that you'll have something awesome available, because I'd love nothing more than to re-home one of your old cuts!!

I think I mentioned in one of my other threads that I have a system which really helps my hoarder tendencies. Everything goes into a spreadsheet when I buy it so I keep track of how much is spent on jewelry. If I don't wear it for a while, it goes into a "maybe sell" list, then after a few more months, it moves up to the "most likely sell" list, and a few more months, it moves into the "will sell" list... and finally when I get into a mood, I take pictures and try to list it right away. If not, the pictures sit there and I get nostalgic and things start moving down the spreadsheet into the "keep" list, haha. There are over 100 items in my "keep" list right now, and it's too many. I plan on cutting down a lot this year.
