1.2 ctw ACA Earrings in 8 prong martini settings

So, I got these earrings as well last week.
I had a pair of F VS ACA .777 ctw years ago that I sold and I've been wanting a pair of proper studs for a while. I regret selling those bc I could've upgraded them!!
These are .602 carats each- I VS2 A Cut Aboves for a total of 1.204 ctw.
I love the size although I can honestly see myself going bigger in the future,but these are perfect for now.
I had them set into Whiteflash's 8 prong martini settings in 18kt. White gold and I did order them with the jumbo backings but I haven't used the jumbos yet.
My ear pictures are horrible tbh so here are the pictures WF sent me for now.

Your ear shots are great, they give awesome perspective for a person like myself currently shopping (very slowly) for the perfect diamond studs. Your pendants are dreamy too! :love::love::love:

That 8 prong martini setting is a perfect choice IMO.

Thank you! The 8 prong settings are great! I was worried about too much metal but they are tiny tiny prongs.

Thanks so much Kayla17! I am slow rolling the process because I am not an "upgrade" kind of girl... I really prefer to make final purchases only because I get really attached to my inanimate items :lol:

I've been definitely leaning more towards a martini setting with three prongs, but I am really digging how your eight prong setting looks. I'm still so torn about choosing the "perfect" size diamonds... Don't even get me started on cut :errrr:

Thanks! I completely get that about upgrading. I was originally going to get 1 ctw bc I honestly don't wear studs that often. I usually wear other types of earrings but I figured that .60's are just big enough for me to not want to upgrade them. But I've also learned that I can never say forever!
 
Your earrings are beautiful. I love the setting. Enjoy wearing them.
 
These are stunning!! :love: You have so many beautiful pieces! They're a great easy to wear size on you but I totally understand the desire to go a little larger. I just upgraded mine a few months ago and I sometimes find myself planning my next upgrade lol!!

Thanks! I really like this size. I have a pair of pre PS 1 ctw studs and I can honestly see a big difference between 5 mm and 5.4+ mm. I also have a pair of McFakies that are 6 mm and I feel they are a little too big on me.
My previous .77 F's were bezel set so they appeared bigger than they really were but I didn't want to go with bezels this time.
I have WF diamond jackets so I can always wear those too when I want more bling.

WOW! Your collection is so beautiful, Kayla! I followed your story a bit in lurkdom and fwiw I really think you made the right choice on your ring. It's just so much money to not be 100% happy with what you're wearing. (or at least close to it;) ) Re: earrings... I love those settings! It gives them a bit of uniqueness in a sea of ubiquitous studs. I have 1.12ish ctw (ACA/ES) and had been tempted to upgrade several times. Finally, I bought a pair of jackets from IDJ some years back and really with that extra punch they were the perfect blingy size. And I still have the studs alone for more reserved occasions. ETA: I do think this size looks pretty substantial on you! Congrats again! SK
 
OOOOO Pretty! They look just great. I think they're a perfect size for daily wear (I wear 1.26 as well!)

It's nice to see the 8 prong settings at this size too - I LOVE 8 prong on large stones but had wondered myself about how they would do on ~60 pt and I agree they look awesome, not too much metal at all!

Thank you! I have the WF jackets and they actually fit better on my 1 ctw studs but they seem to fit well with these as well. I don't like an airline usually anyway.
I'll have to post these earrings with the jackets in case anyway is interested in the look.

Thank you! I do feel they are the perfect size for my ears. Also, I like that my diamond DK pendant is just a little bit bigger. I feel like a pendant has to be a little bit bigger than the earrings for proportion.
I have martinis in the 5 mm and 6 mm sizes and I like the 8 prongs more bc they seem to fit into my ear more evenly and don't stretch out my ear holes. They have a more rounded basket as opposed to my martinis which are perfectly straight.

They look great on you! Look like a perfect size on your ears and the setting is much more delicate than I would have thought.

Thank you! Yes, I was surprised about the setting as well. I do love the 8 prongs bc they give me the added security but they are pretty delicate in real life.

I'm so glad you posted! Those are gorgeous and I love the 8 prongs setting, it still lets the diamonds steal the show. They look perfect on your ears. Enjoy!
