I just listed a 1.28 ct precision cut oval blue sapphire from Gemfix on Loupe Troop. The only treatment is heat. I can't recall the origin of the stone (I *think* it is Sri Lanka but I'm not 100% certain - I have emailed Gemfix the item number to see if they can provide the info from the sale, however, they are out of town until Oct 24 and I will update the listing once I receive a response). I measured the stone with my calipers and it is approximately 7.3 x 5.9 x 4 mm. It is a lovely rich blue color with a hint of violet. This price is very reasonable when compared to sapphires of similar color and size!
I purchased this stone to set in Princess Diana style halo but after having a little one last year and reducing my work schedule, I just don't have the funds to set it now. Hopefully it will go to a good home!

I thought I had that information saved but I can't find it for the life of me. I emailed Gemfix yesterday to see if they could send me all of the info/photos from the original listing (I do have the item number from the order confirmation) but it looks like they are out of town until the 24th. Once they respond, I will update this thread and the listing. Hopefully they are able to provide the information!
