Finally picked up the engagement ring today! Couldn't resist taking some photos with just the crappy phone camera 
The Diamond: You PSers helped out immensely in my diamond education! I originally ordered a 1.22 AGS H&A H VS2 from JA, but it unfortunately didn't appraise well as the inclusion was black, and since it was mirrored across the facets in the table, it appeared to have multiple black inclusions right smack in the middle of the diamond. We got a better deal for a 1.2 AGS H&A H SI1 with a white crystal inclusion in the girdle from our local jeweler.
The Setting: This Danhov setting is custom modified by our local jeweler from 8 prongs to 6, and she had the prongs made a bit higher so that the diamond can be cleaned easily. It is a bit loose on my finger, but it's winter, and I plan on wearing my wedding band outside to secure the ring on.
