Hello diamond community,
My partner and I are considering this natural diamond 1.4 F VVS2. Please see the attached photo of the GIA report.
We are concerned about the feather inclusions as we’ve read that when close to edges they have potential to affect durability if they get larger from exposure to hard impact. We also don’t know if these feather inclusions are within or closer to the surface due to the 2D diagram. We’re hoping to get the opinion of some experts on here to know if these inclusions are a deal breaker.
The second concern we had was the crown angle of 36 degrees. We know a better angle would be around 34-35. Since the pavilion angle is 40.6 is this enough to compensate for the steeper crown angle? We value getting a stone with a higher cut score for fire, light return and scintillation. Is this stone going to perform well with these specific proportions? We have entered the stone to get a HCA of 1.8
Thank you in advance!
