10 year anniversary upgrade - Asscher

Hi all,

Hubby and I have been married 10 years in Feb, and I have been given the green light to start looking for a new ring. I currently have a 0.5ct Princess solitaire, but have had my heart set on an Asscher for a while.

I am a diamond novice, so I am here seeking expert guidance on the below Asschers. Other recommendations are also welcome. Diamond budget is 2k, and I’m after a true square.

Asschers are better in larger sizes. Consider a lab diamond.

#1 inclusion is unfavorable in an asscher. There is also blur in the middle. #2 I quite like for the facets. Is it the H color that concerns you? How are you setting it? IMHO if you are setting in yellow or rose gold then spending $ on higher color is unnecessary. If you are setting in a white metal and want a bright white stone then #2 is not a good match for you.

Any other preference, like dimensions or size/shape of windmills? Another option is a carre cut, like a princess but step cut.

Is your budget in USD or AUD? The link brings up AUD. That will be important for people helping.

Right now, 2000 AUD is coming in at about $1300 USD, not including any import tax and fees.
