10-year anniversary, what’s the least expensive branded item you would buy? I’ll explain!

Hi! I love all the big fabulous jewels I see on PS. My husband and I will have been married for ten years next month. We would like to celebrate, and I love jewelry. Call me crazy but I also love designer names like Tiffany and Cartier etc. Now, my husband works very hard but his job is very stressful. We have been planning a way for him to take an unpaid leave in order to have a break from all the stress. Long story short, it’s going ahead and this is a great thing but it makes a big change in budget for our family.

That’s why I ask. What would you buy with a very low budget (under $300) to celebrate and mark the occasion? I’m thinking maybe some silver studs from Tiffany’s, but I’d love some more ideas. Thank you.

Would you be open to pre-loved for a branded item? I would try FASHIONPHILE for Tiffany pieces. There are some amazing deals to be had, and you can keep for 30 days and return if it doesn’t suit.

Whatever I got, I'd want to make sure it was something that was subtly that brand, and not something that you could buy at a regular jeweler for a quarter of the price.

My favorite Tiffany item period is the olive leaf ring:

Necklaces:

(There are several different colors of this that fit in your budget)

(depending on how on-social-media you are)

Earrings:

Tiffany also has gift/home/lifestyle stuff that is really nice.

For instance, this Tiffany jewelry case:

Tiffany has a variety of vases of different sizes and shapes, scarves, flowerpots (or at least they used to - I have some of them), glassware, etc that is worth a look.

If it were me, I'd get either the olive leaf ring, X earrings, or some bud vases.

I looked through the Cartier site but there didn't look to be anything worthwhile at or below $300.

I see Tiffany raised their prices. Sigh.

I would get the Elsa Peretti open heart earrings (slightly over budget at $325).

If you can find a preloved Daisy key in sterling silver then I think that is a great option. I own one and it’s a beautiful piece.

I would get an Elsa Peretti Teardrop pendant, which is special to me because it was the one my daughter picked out when I brought her to Tiffany’s flagship store. She got the tiniest one, but there are larger sizes.

Another option would be a Tiffany Hardwear ball and band alternative wedding set in silver. They are sold new and unused on eBay regularly for below your budget.

I have Tiffany's Elsa Peretti mini bean necklace in sterling silver and I absolutely love everything about it. It's flattering, goes with everything, subtle yet eye-catching, feels wonderful with a slight bit of heft, is a classic, .... It is my favorite necklace to wear. I often think about getting a diamond pendant (even have a diamond I could reset into one) but honestly, the little drop of liquid shine that the bean gives off completely satiates my desire for something classically eye-catching around my neck.

Whatever you end up with, congratulations on your 10th anni and I hope your DH enjoys his respite!

Cartier Trinity Ring. My wife and I have always loved the design. It's about the only "designer" piece that I could see purchasing from the actual designer, particularly if we ever find ourselves in Paris (the discount is pretty significant if buying at the Paris boutique, particularly after the VAT refund upon leaving France).

But at under $300, then a SS item from Tiffany sounds like a good choice.

Just a thought. I don't think I have ever gotten an anniversary gift on my exact anniversary date. I get it within a year of the anniversary date, though! So I wouldn't spend even $300 on something that you don't love! I'd put that $300 in an extra savings account on the anniversary and add to it when you can, and then get something you really love whenever he goes back to work and you've caught up on the finances!

I love the olive leaf ring ! (but I'm biased because I have it :) ). It is very pretty and I have seen many similar designs that I don't find as pretty. It is very shiny silver and requires very little maintenance (I have had mine since 2014 and it is still as shiny)

Check out how pretty this necklace is. I love it.

I have this in yellow gold (no diamond), and now my teenaged daughter wears it.

Such a charming bracelet

@diamondyes would you be open to a T and Co ring? What size do you wear, if you are? I may have something in your price range.

I think this one is a great idea. X is the Roman numeral for 10 and it's your 10 year anniversary that you are commemorating. I think this necklace would be perfect for that.

That is so thoughtful.

It‘s perhaps not exactly jewelry, but I’ve always felt Hermès was an absolute of brand named fabulousness, so I would choose an Hermes Twilly to keep in your budget. I very much wished that it would be possible to do the Twilly and something like a Mors Ring (which I think we have to count as jewelry), but that comes to $370.

You could always just do the twilly, and for still under $300 there are also Maxi-Twillies which give a bit more versatility, but definitely no budget for the scarf ring then.

I have to be honest, I have a few silver Tiffany pieces that have been gifted me that are nice but “meh.” Having said that, the silver jewelry I have from Blue Nile are exceptionally better quality. I personally don’t care about the name but the quality and Blue Nile is number one on my list for silver jewelry.

That's me! I do have some pieces I am trying to sell as I really don't wear them. They are pre-loved. I just had them polished at the store. They can send them off to have them do a deep clean for $55. I am entertaining all reasonable offers.

Hopefully it isn't inappropriate to mention that here. If so, please let me know and I can delete my reply. Thank you!

Look on The RealReal. I’d go with something from the Return to Tiffany line.

I'd definitely be careful about TRR because a decent amount of their branded jewelry is obviously not authentic. I've seen crooked Tiffany stamps, "Cartier" obviously hand engraved into things - stuff that wouldn't even pass the most basic authenticity test is on the site, so I'm sure plenty of savvier fakes are too.

Yeap.
One of those mini scarves from Hermes wins in this price range.
