I listed this previously a few years ago but chickened out and withdrew it - now I'm offering it up again and hoping it finds the perfect home.
Beautiful stackable 18k diamond ring, weighing 4.2g and size 9.
Fully hallmarked for London, in 1896
Both sides engraved by hand with what I believe to be a Sparrow (denoting love birds, not captain jack sparrow). Very rare, I've never seen another one like it.
Center stone is 3.2mm, first set of sides are 2.6mm and 2.7mm, and far side stones are 1.9mm and 1.8mm. As they are OEC not modern rounds, they will weigh slightly more than the diameter suggests. I'd estimate the total carat weight is about .65ct but as with all old stones, it's not really about the specs are much as it's the clarity the fire, the liveliness. And these stones are certainly clear, firey, and lively, with chunky facets and aoft whiteness (not yellowish or brownish at all). And finally, look at the azures underneath! How beautifully carved they are. Such quality.
Bought from CJ Antiques in England in 2015 and worn several times but I never found the right stacker for her - maybe someone else here has just the right partner for her?
$395 - an absolute steal
Feel free to resell at great profit on Instagram! Isn't that what everyone else is doing?
