Hi Iam looking to buy a 1913 peridot and diamond ring. Please contact me if you have one to sell. Thanks

Sounds like one was stolen? Sorry. Almost no one but the original owner would know to the year when a vintage ring was made.

People don't fence or even "regular" sell on this forum -- I would check eBay or Craigslist. I once watched a listed ring where the seller seemed to know very little about it. I then got a notification from eBay that it was a hacked inactive account and either a scam or a fencing operation.

I don't know if size matters (perhaps the ring will be worn on a chain?), the budget range for this purchase, or if it's OK if the ring includes another kind of stone as well, but this 18K suffragette ring -- with an amethyst flanked by diamonds & peridots -- with the Birmingham (UK) Assay Office's mark for 1913-14 (the O seen inside the shank) might become available; it's presently showing as "on hold":

If you have access to a good "bench," with a laser welder, who deftly handles jewelry repairs and restoration, you might consult with them, pre-purchase, re the feasibility of replacing one or more of the diamonds in this ring with an amethyst:

or this one:

Lastly, here's a plain mounting (no stone); the 1913 date is up by the head, so it would not be affected by re-sizing, or a partial re-shanking since the bottom of the ring is looking pretty thin.

@Cuyahoga and @LilAlex , just realized I forgot to let you know that there's no direct/private messaging function here on PS & offers to buy or sell stones or jewelry pieces are limited to the Preloved PS Jewels forum; the link to that appears -- but only if you are logged in -- in the drop-down menu of the Pricesope Cafe header near the top of your screen.

So that's why you don't see offers to sell/buy elsewhere on PS. (I'd sure like to think no PSer is trying to "fence" stolen goods!)

Read the moderator's 3 "pinned" posts (the first ones on Preloved PS Jewels) for more information about using that board.

Isn't 1913 a brand?

Isn't 1913 a brand?
There's 1913 jewelry for men (mostly stainless steel bracelets) that, e.g., Kohls and Target carry & the 1928 Jewelry Company, costume jewelry with a vintage vibe for women. But those are the only 2 brands that Google showed in the first several pages of results when I searched yesterday for 1913 jewelry.
