Thank you so much, Isabel!

Well, you have my diamond's long-lost brother, methinks!!!

It should be a BEAUTY! How will you have it set?

Can't WAIT for photos!

Actually I love the WF shared prong that you had. Okay, I love the fishtail pave too but I''ve had my heart set on the shared prong with the legato head!!! Doesn''t get any better than the legato head!

Can anyone give me opinions about the price? I feel like it''s a good deal, but I''m not sure.

Hi Isabel!

Based on the Pricescope Diamond Cut Quality Search tool, this price seems to be great!

I found the following:
2.034 J/SI2 - $14,137
2.044 I/SI1 - $18,939
2.054 I/SI1 - $19,032
2.065 I/SI2 - $17,250
2.50 I/SI1 - $19,950

I guess there are not that many J''s in this carat range so the majority that came up were I''s but this should give you a better idea of where you fall price wise.

Not bad ... not bad at all.

It''s a fair price Isabel.

I wanted fluorescence really bad, but then we came across this stone.
I hope it faces up as white as the Js on PS! That would be great!

WF is supposed to be receiving the stone from one of their vendors this morning. Does anyone know if they''ll do a side by side comparison with another comparable stone in a better color? I''d really like to see how much of a difference there is between a J and a G or H.

Has anyone done that?

They would do that, if you asked. But I don''t know how much it would really help you. Everyone''s monitor is different for one thing (so color might not be truly represented), and you''d have to have them take side by side face down, so you could see the pavillion, where color really shows, besides face up. Also, I think you need certain lighting to show color. I just don''t know how true a picture it would be.

The thing is, if you''ve never seen a higher color in person, I personally would recommend NOT looking. If you don''t know what you''re missing (possibly), you may not miss it at all. Know what I mean?

I started off with a G. Then I went bigger but down to an I. Then I went bigger again and got a J.

I adore my J! Its white to me and very good value for the money.

That makes a lot of sense...logically I KNOW it shouldn''t be an issue. I have a friend with a beautiful J Princess cut. I''m not concerned with holding a J up to a G or H on a day to day basis...and to be honest I''ve been looking for an I or J because they''re such great deals. I just want to make sure when I look at it face-up it looks WHITE and SPARKLY and BRIGHT!!!

Maisie,

Thanks for the reply...how big is your J? And how does the color compare to the diamonds you see day to day on other people? I think that being on PS our view of color perception may be a little different than what''s out there in the "real world"! I''m not planning on scrutinizing my ring from the side or anything.

A well cut stone should face up nice and bright. Let me see if I can find a comparision on here for you. But again, we have the whole monitor/color difference thing going on.

*looking*

ELLEN THANK YOU!!!!

That slapped me back into reality! Those rings are beautifully WHITE!
