Hey all,

I am having an Anniversary band commissioned, an Emerald cut Eternity band, and was curious… is the additional cost premium worth it for a a .05 difference? Will I really even see it?

We are talking about $2-4 thousand dollars? Should I just go with the .25 pointers? As much as I love the look of .30 pointers I’m wondering if it is prudent?

Would love for some of my fellow Pricescopers to weigh in!

Thank you!

Hi there! Your eternity band project sounds fabulous. I look forward to seeing the finished piece!!

So, the size of .25ct. and .30ct. round cut diamonds is much easier to accurately predict than that of an emerald cut. But according to gemsize.org, you're looking at roughly 4.21x3.12mm for the .25ct. and 4.47x3.31mm for the .30ct. So while the slightly bigger size of the .30ct. diamonds will add up to make a uniformly larger looking band, the price difference may not be worth it for you. I think this is one of those things only you can decide! Good luck!!

Honestly, whenever I can’t decide, I like to buy CZs to hold in person and get a feel for it. Maybe try a loose .25 if you can find it? Maybe you could also get a cheapie lab diamond from Ritani for the .30

Also- I've decided I am going with the .30's, this is the only substantial Eternity Ring on getting, so GO BIG OR GO HOME

Also- Love your screen name, I am in New England as well, MA!

Well howdy neighbor!! :wavey: I'm also of the belief that more is more, so now I'm really looking forward to seeing this piece completed!
