Well after 4 months of searching, my ring is complete and was on my finger by Christmas Eve.

My husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary on Jan 8th. My high school sweetheart, my best friend, help make this dream come true.

He and I talked about a budget and he left the details to me.
Thanks to all of the ps folks, Traci and the staff at WF, and Sandy Lux (local jeweler who custom made my setting), I have a 25th anniversary ring that I am loving sooo much!

Does it matter that my husbands band is yelllow gold and will not "match" my plat. setting?
In 1983 yellow gold was the thing, my original ring is approx. .75 pear solitare with tapered bagettes on either side set in yellow gold.

ETA: DH still wears his YG band, I wear PLAT. I bought him a PLAT band for an anniversary but he loves his orig YG WB and wears it constantly; I must admit, I love him to wear it too. So our rings do not match.

I was hoping that I could create a ring that was antiquish.
Radiants and traps are not traditional stones, but I love the rectangle/emerald shape and the traps.

I am very excited about my ring and can hardly believe it has been 25 years of marriage plus 4 years added that we dated.

I am not going to stress over his band being different from mine. I like that he enjoys wearing his ring, and I would not like to change that.
