I just posted this on Louptroupe: http://loupetroop.com/listings/ring...etting-with-pear-side-stones-size-5-7-slash-8

I'm selling this as an intact ring. It's size 5-7/8.

The diamond is 3.29 H VS2, triple excellent, GIA, HCA score 1.6. The proportions are as ideal as can be and it's as clean as a VS2 can be. I hunted patiently for over a year before I found this stone as I was VERY VERY particular about the specs and clarity (I only want a VS2 that just fell out of the running for a VS1). I bought it at Whiteflash and it'll come with all the documentation.

Table: 56%
Depth: 61.8%
Crown angle: 35 degrees
Pavillion angle: 40.8 degrees
Girdle: Medium-Slightly thick, faceted
Polish: EX
Symmetry: EX
Fluorescence: None
Culet: None

The setting is Leon Mege's three stone setting in platinum with pear side stones. The pears are 0.80 tcw H VS1 with a shape ratio of 1.53. Perry selected them for me so that's all I know about them.

The setting was made only 6 months ago so it's still very shiny and new. Very minimal wear and tear since I only wore this ring part of the time (alternated between this and the 4.17). Plus I'm very very careful with my hands. A quick polish at Leon's and it's as good as new.

Am selling it for $57K. The price is pretty firm as I believe it's very attractively priced already. The setting (including side stones) was just shy of $5K so you're getting the main stone for only $52K. At the moment on Pricescope, similar stones retail from $61,672 to $69,666, and with inferior proportions and clarity!

This is a magnificent ring for someone. We'll keep our eyes open for people searching for 3 ct stones on Rocky Talky. I'll have to say, this ring has perfect specs and what I would choose for myself if I could break that 3 ct barrier in a rb! But I hope a PSer ends up with it!

Thanks eh613c!

Would you consider selling the stone and setting separately?

Hi njblinger,

I highly prefer to sell the ring intact because it just feels wrong to take apart such a beautiful piece that was made less than a year ago.

However, someone did express an interest in buying just the setting should that opportunity come up so I suppose it's not an absolute no to sell the stone separately, which I've receive interest in as well. However, it won't be at $52K. I would like $54K for the stone.

Let me know if you have interest.

Hi, I would also have interest in buying the setting.

I don't understand…you want to buy the stone and the setting but separately?

No, sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm interested in the setting, not the stone. I already have a 3.2 carat stone that would fit in the setting quite well :wink2:

Oh, I got it now. Sorry, guess I'm a little slow today :-)

I would be open to it if I have a buyer for the stone first. Also, you would be second on the waiting list for the setting. Should the opportunity come up, I'll definitely be in touch!

Thank you! Good luck with everything.

Hi Diamondnut-
Are you by chance selling the round/baguette band in the same photo?
If so I'm interested!
Thanks!

GAH, this is my dream ring.

Good luck with your sale, I'll be green with envy to whomever buys it!

Hi!

I just sent you a message on LT re: the setting.

Thanks

I love your ring but unfortunately your setting is for a bigger stone and a much smaller ring size. However, I have been wanting this exact setting made by Leon Mege. Is it comfortable? I would wear the ring all the time, just taking it off at night and when doing dishes. Would you like the center diamond set higher or is it just right?

I think the two eternity bands you have with it are perfect!! Can you tell me where you got them? I absolutely love the combination. I have looked at many three stone rings on PS of this design with wedding bands and this is my favorite. Thanks!

Hi Bishbunch,

Leon made the setting with comfort fit (the interior edge is rounded) so it's extremely comfortable. I like my stones set low so I specifically requested the height. I've found the slightly lower height and it being a 3 stone ring (rather than a solitaire) makes it a lot less prone to snagging things and overall much easier to wear.

The thin band is by Leon also. It's about 1.6mm and is close to the thinnest he'll do. The middle band with the round and baguette diamonds is by Beverly K. I got it at Pearlman's Jewelers.

Hope this helps!! Happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Thank you so much!
