3.9ct Mexican fire opal ring

I am loving this fire opal ring lately. Center mexican fire opal is 3.9ct, set in platinum. It's a really heavy ring, but pretty comfy. Definitely the best fire opal cabochon I have seen. Fire opal is very stable and should value more IMHO. It's not easy to find good cabochon with such color play and brightness. Body color is also a neon orange, so even without going outside I can still enjoy the neon orange color under no direct light. Besides, the color play is so good even with diffused daylight it plays very well

Oh it is simply gorgeous. That fiery orange color is TDF. The size is amazing and the setting is beautiful.

I have, but only in a museum piece. It's very rare to find such a saturated Mexican Fire Opal with such amazing color play. You can usually find them very saturated, but with little to no color play.

I have the opal bug now (just purchased an Australian jelly opal) and was searching for "Mexican Fire Opal" and came across this thread. OMG, what a beautiful ring! The play of color against the orange is gorgeous. Where did you purchase this ring?
