In serious need of your help because I am so indecisive. My current ring is the 3 stone with pears that I LOVE but I have always dreamed of a 3 stone cushion. I have been looking for AVCs within the color, size and shape ratio of my center stone but have had no luck. Recently, I saw a couple of cushions at Diamonds By Lauren that I thought might work. I originally wanted 5mm cushions but these average around 4.6mm. I don't know what the heck is wrong with the colors. I didn't use any filters or edit the colors but my phone is lavender in color. Center stone is 7.32 x 7.19mm. Thank you so much, I appreciate your help.

I love your ring how it is now, the pears compliment the center stone so well. The side cushion stones look pretty substantial, but I think it may be because of the prongs. It will depend on if you are looking to maximize finger coverage vs. having the center stone stand out. If it's the latter, you may want to consider smaller side stones.

Thank you for weighing in. Yes, I do love my current ring. Only thinking of a reset because of finding the cushions. I do want the center stone to pop.... I think that when the sides are set lower and tilted slightly from the center stone, the size will work?

Yes, I do think if the sides are set lower, it will let your center stone stand out. Can't wait to see the final ring!

I think these sides complement your center stone, @Diamondbug.
I don’t know enough about diamond technical details and always go by what’s pleasing to my eye. These sides look terrific to me and will give you more than ample finger coverage and sparkle. So excited for you!!

Here is my all time favorite cushion 3-stone with OMCs as an inspiration: https://www.leonmege.com/portfolio/three-stone/three-stone-true-antique-cushion-ring-detail

That is gorgeous of course. I do like the ratio of the stones. I hope mine fall in that ratio....I just worry that after setting it, it might be too small. My stone is 1.85ct and the sides are .44ct and .48ct. so only 1/4 of the center stone.

Thank you maita13. The sidestones are actually about the same size as the pears so truly, it is not any more coverage, just different. That's why I was wondering if I should look for bigger sides. It's just nearly impossible to find matching shape and color in the size I want. I brought these in thinking that they might work. I have some time to do more research and pondering.

Ah, I see now that the holders are making the stones look more substantial. I understand what it means to want something different.
I changed my sides nearly 2 years ago. Figuring out the right ratio was most challenging as I couldn’t decide what the “right” size sides should be. In the end, I went with what looked “balanced” to me. For reference, my center is 9.85 x 7.45 with sides at 6.67 x 5.04mm. All 3 have identical ratios.

ETA: The Leon ring SimoneDi posted above looks about the same size (ratio) as your intended sides. I still think it’ll be an awesome ring!
