This is a gorgeous and classic platinum 3 stone engagement ring from Shane and Co. It has been independently appraised by American Gem Registry (Neil Beaty) and seller will be provided appraisal (insurance value).

The center stone is a round brilliant diamond - .91ct. VS1 H-I. It measures 6.98x5.97x3.90mm. The center stone is prong set and the setting is in excellent condition (with a polish it would look brand new). There is a single round brilliant diamond channel set on each shoulder - 3.96x4.03mm, approximately .25ct each (.50tcw) VS2, H-J. Ring is a size 6 and is fully sizable.

Asking $4,000.00 with free shipping via USPS Registered Mail. No returns.

Let me know what you guys think and I'm happy to answer any questions or provide more information.

Does anyone have any feedback on this listing? This is the first piece I've tried to sell and I'm open to thoughts and critiques. Thanks for the help.

It's a beautiful ring! My only feedback would be that I personally wouldn't spend $4000 without a return period. It's too big a gamble, I think. Just a thought, though, I understand returns are a hassle.

Also, is that measurment right? that .9 ct stone is nearly 7mm??

looks pretty, just takes time to sell things if you dont list it ridiculously under priced.

Neil appraised it so I'm assuming the measurements are correct. He seems like a detail-oriented kind of guy, but I'm going to double check with him. It's round, so it seems like it should be 5.98 rather than 6.

Do you think it's OVER priced? I want to be fair and not price myself out of a potential sale.

I'm not opposed to a return policy, I just have no idea how something like that works. Any suggestions? I think it's a pretty ring (my guy's ex-wife's which is why we're trying to sell it), and I'd like it to find a good home.

I thought the same thing when I saw the measurements - it appears round, I think those measurements are off. Neil made a typing error on my appraisal as well; he wrote that it was 3.65 carats instead of 4.65 carats, and only changed it when I pointed out the discrepancy. I suspect this is the same sort of thing.

I can't comment on pricing, it's been so long since I've looked at stones of this type and size. I hope it finds a new home soon though. :))
