3 weeks to go and I need to vent!

First off, before I vent on situations and people, I have to admit my own stupidity! We invited roughly 130-140 people. Everyone really has to travel almost 5 hours and get a hotel. It''s almost a semi DW if that makes sense. We figured that no more than 100 people would show but probaby more like 70. So when I reserved all the rental (tables, chairs, plates....) I reserved 100. I only made 100 favors boxes. AND I told the caterer 70. What the heck is WRONG with me????

So far 99 people have RSVP''d. I expect at least 10-20 more to possibly show. Those darn people who don''t rsvp!!!!

Now the caterer is increasing the cost, obviously And I have to rent a bunch more stuff.... all this is putting me over budget.
I don''t really want to make more favors either.

I''ve been stressing about this for almost 2 weeks now. Then last night my fiance told me that he wants to invite 4 more people. I almost tore his head off! I''ve been so proud to not be a bridezilla....up until last night! haha!!!!!

I''ve gone ahead and called another rental co. (my originaly doesn''t have more stuff to give me). I know it will all be fine. I know (kind of) that is won''t be perfect. Things like this happen right?! It really bugs me that possibly not everyone will have a favor at their seat.
I don''t think I''m crazy and you girls probably get it where my fiance doesn''t. He thinks it''s no big deal.

I sent the invite this AM to the people he requested. I don''t want to make a fight out of it - but man did he make me MAD!

I wish the big day would just get here already. I''m so ready to not think about it anymore

I am soooo sorry! I totally understand what you''re talking about with FI inviting ppl. I went on a week vacation withour him and when I got back there were 6 new ppl added to the list. We are having a DW and I only reserved 30 seats, so after he invited some ppl, it took us up to almost 40 ppl invited. I nearly killed him too! As for the favors, you can propbaly get away with not giving the kids them (if there are children there and you have a seating chart) or, you can keep them on a nice table at the front and people can help themselves. I have been to several weddings where that was the setup.

We had something similar happen to us. We are currently TWO weeks away from our wedding and we went to another wedding two weeks ago. While there we realized that a buddy of his (their group is pretty solid back for about 10 years) was completely left off the invite list!

We were sitting at a table of 8 and it was FI and me, two other couples (who are traveling to the wedding) and the other couple that we didn''t invite. Of course the talk turned to our wedding and one of the other wives asked if they were attending and they said no, they hadn''t been invited. I wanted to die!

But, you would have been proud, I played complete innocence and said, "What? Of course you were invited! Are you telling me that you didn''t receive our invitation?"

I was livid with FI, but he said that he forgot and can we invite them? AND they are coming!!!! With their kids!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered OOT bags, mugs, made programs, favors and seating charts...AND THEY ARE COMING!!!!!!!!!!! WITH KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my gosh, SassyB, i''m so sorry to hear this is happening with only a few weeks left until the wedding, i hope things worked out for you, don''t be so hard on yourself, there are so many things to think about for a wedding, it''s easy to miss things here and there
