Amazing that 21 years has flown by. Lots of ups and downs. Two nearly grown children and a long ago cracked diamond that we never replaced after it broke, we replaced/upgraded my wife's engagement ring with the Asscher Cut diamond we could never afford.
While I didn't seek a screaming deal, we got exactly what I was hoping. The fancy store was nice enough to ship it out of state for tax reasons, and I was smart enough to ask whether the asking price was their best price. To my surprise they came down 25% to make the ring within our budget. All it really does is tell us how large their margin is. We likely paid mid-high retail. When I comped the diamond across the internet, it appeared on the low price range so that was a good feeling for me.
Here it is. Also...it's crazy to see I was a member here in 2003. We were married in 2004.
