I've been a loyal customer of Diamonds by Lauren for several years. I think David is a warm, funny, knowledgeable, and honest businessman. When I was thinking about re-setting my Leon Mege engagement ring and one of my mother's diamonds, I called up David to work his magic. I wanted something a little less dainty yet classic, and fell in love with his new bezel settings.
I don't have the stats handy, but the center diamond from my Leon ring is a 2.11 E (Excellent Cut) and my mother's diamond is a 2 ct L/M (it was never certified, but David loved the stone). Having both set in bezels, as stackers, was an idea I had in mind because when stacked together, the diamonds would form an '8' on my finger. The number '8' in Chinese numerology (I'm Korean but we follow similar customs) is a very auspicious number, and also, my twins were born on 8/8/11, so the rings would always remind me of them.
I have to praise David and Rob for their efficient communication and expertise. They make me feel welcome in their office (I can easily run over since I work only a couple blocks away) and they are really sincere people. Thank you again, guys!
I've attached pics of my former Leon Mege ring, followed by the 2.11ct E set in platinum, and the 2 ct L/M set in 18k yellow. The bands are approx. 2.5 mm in width, and the rings are a size 7 (I wear them as RHRs). I also wear the bezels with two platinum micropave bands, to visually represent '11', the year of the twins' birth. I know, I'm imaginative
