#JOTW 4.27AVC meets Steven Kirsch!

So my journey for 4crt AVR hit some bump, and somehow I ended up with another AVC!! But this time I LOVE the warm color and sure love the size! I also really like the rectangular shape over the square AVC I had before....it helps to make my not so elegant hand looks a little better?

Anyways, I went back and forth with the idea of simple basket and halo.......decided to start out with the simple setting to appreciate the brilliance on the AVC. Hey, I know I'll get DSS eventually.......then I'll have an option to go for Halo!

GOG was great as usual, we all know that! Steven was so easy to work with, made my ring in less than 2 weeks!! and I SO LOVE the setting! Pics are taken by my phone, so not that good.....but you can still see how it looks!

Beautiful. Stunning. Looks fantastic on your hand. I love the under gallery diamonds and rubies? I agree I think the shape of this one versus the old one elongates on your hand giving it more presence, and because its longer it takes up more finger real estate making it look a fair bit larger. Cushion shapes are always "softer" looking on the hand than a round as well.....

I have been having this dilemma myself because I always thought my "ideal" ring was something with french cut sides and I bought a largish old stone (which currently isn't set in anything yet) and sat it in another setting with sides stones and I didn't like it. If anything, to me I think it distracted and took away from it making the stone appear smaller not larger if that makes sense.... a big solitaire doesn't need a heap of other stones going on around it, it makes as much, if not more of a statement on its own!!!

Anyway, your new ring IS amazing!!!! It really does look massive compared to the previous AVC!!!! I have to ask - I take it you love the cushions better than the AVRs? Does it have as much fire as the AVR, or just a different type of fire?
