Back again looking for solitaire design input! I find myself wondering about resetting to a 4-prong Cathedral Basket setting instead of the 6-prong Tiffany style, as I was planning, and have already been wearing / loving for a few years.
Has anyone out there reset the same stone from a 4 to 6 prong solitaire or vice versa, and have some input to share on differences they noticed?
(or point me to a thread I've missed, other than @diamondseeker2006 reset from LM to U113 several years ago)
OR, does anyone have 4-prong basket cathedral solitaire, preferably without pave or sidestones that they'd care to share? By basket cathedral, I mean along the lines of Victor Canera's Classic Cathedral or Chloe or Trueste... I'm only considering basket style 4-prongs with the cathedral shoulders/arms that connect to the basket/ metal under the girdle, like the ones I listed and pictured below (not 4-prong peg head, etc)

I have scoured PS (and everywhere else) and can't seem to find many threads or pics for 4-prong basket settings. Lots of beauties with sidestones or pave encrusted, but not simple / strictly solitaires. I did come across this helpful 2008 thread by @diamondseeker2006 showing a very similar size diamond as mine in a Leon Mege 4-prong cathedral - and then read about the later reset to Vatche U113, and the preference for the U113 after the reset, because the diamond was set lower in the LM.... I'm finding myself in the minority and loving the looks of the LM - which I'm so confused by, since I wear and typically prefer 6 prong knife edge solitaires.. maybe I'm just itching for a change, idk!
