11.52 x 8.52 x 7.10 mm
Modified brilliant cut oval

There are not enough positive things that I can say about this stone. It is a gorgeous neon, untreated Spinel. I originally purchased this gem from another PS’er here on LT. She said that the stone was from Vietnam.
This gem glows in all types of lighting situations and maintains its color in all types of lighting, as well. In terms of clarity, there are a few veils and a fingerprint inclusion that do not reach the surface of the stone and there are two tiny crystal inclusions in the crown that I cannot see with the naked eye. The stone is definitely eye clean. Before I owned the stone, it underwent a precision re-cut by Dan Stair. Once I received the stone, I sent it to Jerry Newman so that he could polish out a natural on the girdle. In the effort of full disclosure, there are two “naturals” on the pavilion of the stone that looks like faint lines. Both Jerry and my jeweler assured me that these are “naturals” and not scratches and were merely leftover from the surface of the rough from which the stone was cut. There are no feathers, fractures, or surface reaching inclusions. Jerry also said that the polish is very good and was well done by Dan Stair.
The color is a neon pinkish red. This is the color given on the stone’s AGL prestige report and it is the color that I see in real life. It can definitely hold its own against neon mahenge spinels.
I am currently trying to fund another large project (my engagement ring!) and that is the only reason that I am willing to part with this stunning stone.
I have many pictures and videos of this stone in all types of lighting conditions. I also have non-cropped pictures of the AGL prestige report that I can send. LT forces me to resize all of my pictures. Please email me and I will provide them to you.
The first picture in the listing was taken inside. The second two are cropped pictures of the AGL prestige report and the last picture is from Dan Stair.
