OK, so I took a deep breath and posted this. I have been torturing @jaq with this decision. So here it goes:
I love this diamond more than any diamond I have ever seen. The original I recut was an "I" color, but it had this peachy background color to it. I was obsessed! but it was 7.62 carats and the MRB was expensive AND Southwest charges by the START carat weight so it was even more money to recut it. I did it anyway and I absolutely LOVE it. But i don't wear it because I love my ha'o setting so much
The diamond is gorgeous, it flickers with pastels. It is so perfect to me. That said, i only wear my halo. I LOVE my halo setting. So I thought that I would switch out the 2 diamonds and then sell the solitaire with the other diamond for a lower price... because I have NEVER seen another diamond with this peach tint, yellow yes, grey yes, NEVER saw a peach and trust me I have looked at THOUSANDS of MRBs....
however, switching it will take a few weeks, I would have to mail David BOTH rings, this diamond is slightly bigger and I would have to take all new pictures and I am worried about messing up my halo setting because its so perfect and was made for the other diamond and i worry mailing them both together losing them sending back and forth. SO... I decided to take a deep breath and post this. YES, the price is on the higher side for a lab, but I PAID soooo much for it between the original MRB and the recut AND emotionally, I just cant let it go for less, to me it's worth what i originally actually paid an now I am selling at a 40% discount. I will not sell loose, it comes complete in the setting. Currently a size 4.5 but I am sure David or a local jeweler can size it if you need it resized. The ONLY reason I am selling it is to make it hassle free for me, otherwise I will switch out the diamonds and keep this diamond.
Here's the deal, if it doesnt sell in a week, I AM going to switch the diamonds (the other one is gorgeous too, but this one is just.... perfection to me and one of a kind with that background color).
Here's the original Loupe360 so you can see the background color: https://loupe360.com/diamond/LG600356964/video/500/500
If i put it on a white paper I can see the hint of peach, but I dont see it while wearing it
Here's the thread I did on it: https://www.pricescope.com/communit...t-recut-7-64-ct-mrb-to-5-69-carat-oec.284181/
Loupe Troop Listing: https://loupetroop.com/listings/rin.../5-dot-66-i-color-lab-oec-in-18k-gold-setting
$7500, whole ring, i will not separate stone and setting (if I take the diamond out I am keeping it LOL)
Like I said, if it doesnt sell, then I will switch out the diamonds and relist with all new pics and new info
I DID NOT recertify it, but I have the original IGI and the Sarine from Southwest
OMG.. Its entirely possible I freak out and change my mind and delete this at any time hahaha
