I have a truly special Congo tourmaline that deserves to be set in a piece where it can shine. This is one of the prettiest and most unique tourmalines I have come across, featuring a stunning modified shield cut by Dan O’Neil. It weighs 7.95 carats and measures 16 x 10 x 7 mm.

This gem is incredibly clean and has been difficult to photograph because of how it plays with the light. In person, it is even more breathtaking. I can easily see it set in a striking yellow gold pendant, where its unique shape and brilliance would stand out beautifully.

Ooh -- set it like this! I always loved this aqua pendant that got away (was overpriced anyway). I can't tell if this is what it always was or if this was part of one earring but I just love the bullet-y shape.
