7 Carat Honker!!

Just dropping in to share a 7 carat on my hand... It's an I colour and not ideal cut but still it's hugeeeeee!! Guess how much it costs.

It's not mine (I wish!), but still I had a lot of fun wearing it for the 30 seconds it was on my hand!

Perhaps I'm just used to seeing all these stunningly beautiful ideal or super ideal cut diamonds now, but that looks way more yellow than an I! I would console myself with that thought whilst giving it back...

Beautiful finger coverage, but it’s very dark, and not very sparkly. As you pointed out, it’s not well cut. Perfect example of cutting to retain weight & not beauty.
Such a shame. Someone should purchase it just to have it recut.

Yes, that's how crazy the retail mark-up (due to rent) in Hong Kong is.

I must say, in person it didn't look half as warm as it does in the photos, must be the store lighting (even my D e-ring didn't photograph nicely in the store)? But even I as a newbie could see from a mile off that the cut is nowhere near ideal.

Still, considering that it's the price of a small flat or a Maserati Granturismo here, I went giddy with excitement having it on my hand anyway.

Actually to be fair that is a pretty amazing stone... But I do hope they cut it nicely... And lucky you for getting to wear it! Wow! It provides you with pretty beautiful finger coverage!
