I’ve been looking at my current eternity band and the more I look at it, the more I hate it!!
It’s a 2 carat, 3mm full eternity band and I feel like I need larger stones than this current ring.

I’ve narrowed it down (hopefully) to a 5 stone with .40 pointers or a full eternity with .25 pointers.

I’m attaching pictures of ideas I found online as well as the current set with the 2 ct eternity band.

Could you please give me your opinions on which would work best for maximum finger coverage? My finger is 7.25, so I can handle quite large stones. My solitaire is 1.69 ct for reference, with a 3.25 mm wide band.

Thanks for any opinions.

If anyone has any pictures that are similar to these rings, can you please post pictures? Thanks

FWIW I think your wedding set is perfect -- really love the proportions of the eternity with the ER.

That said, if you hate it or are tired of it, I suggest ordering some 7-stone bands and larger eternities from Berricle so you can try them on with your ER (and take advantage of return policy) -- it should help you narrow down exactly what new look works for you.

5 stone. But I’m biased bc I want a 5 stone. I have an full eternity that I rarely wear.

+1 on the tester idea

Title says seven-stone but post says five-stone… I recommend five-stone or seven-stone over eternity because it will give you a poofy look. Plus IMHO 0.30 or 0.40 stones look good with 1.69 stones.

I think either would look nice, however it may take away from your solitaire.

I would much rather have an eternity with smaller stones. But I have a 5 stone with half carats (so very similar to what you want) that I rarely wear these days.

Oops, I just noticed that mistake. I’ve been looking at 7 and 5 stone rings all day.

Thank you so much everyone!! I think sometimes we get carried away looking at all the big diamond rings on PS. Which is exactly what I did all day today!! Seeing huge eternity bands made me want one but not to wear alone since I like wearing my solitaire too.

I may try a 5 or 7 stone though. Most places have good return policies.

I do wonder about finger coverage with a 5 stone. The 5 stone I have been eyeballing is .40 carats each stone. So I wonder if that would give me enough coverage. I’ll have to try some on.

Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate the knowledge everyone has here.

I like the suggestion of @marymm to buy the Berricles. A 5 or 7 may spin and not stay lined up which isn’t an issue with an eternity. The spinning will either bother you or it won’t. It drives me crazy so my 7 stone rarely gets worn with a solitaire.

What about a 5-stone .75 ctw? .15 pointers, wouldn't that be about 3.4mm?
Or if pushing it, maybe a 5-stone 1 ctw., around 3.8mm?
Just trying to think what might give you a "bump" in size without completely overwhelming.
Maybe you could have pillows put inside the shank to stop the spinning as well.

Yea, spinning would drive me crazy too. That’s why I got a full eternity.

That’s a good idea!! I think that’s what I’m looking for….just a bump to give me a little more chunkier look. Thanks

I have a 1.65 and a 20 pointer 7 stone. I do not wear them together because I feel like the size of my 7 stone distracts from my ering
and there are color differences because my solitaire is a K. I am a size 6 3/4. I suggest you go try on these different sizes you are
looking at before buying (or order some cheap fake versions on amazon). They may (or may not) give you the look you are after.
I snapped a quick picture for you so you can see the 1.65 with 20 pointers on a 6 3/4 finger. As I said, I don't wear it this way though.

I'd also suggest a thinner spacer band. Your stack has a lot going on there, and your engagement ring is the widest shank. It may look very different with a narrow but protective spacer, and a wider band than e-ring.

Wow!! That does distract from your engagement ring but it’s beautiful!! I have been looking at 30 pointer 7 stone bands!! .30 ct each will definitely distract from my 1.69ct solitaire as it is similar in size as your diamond solitaire. Thanks for the picture. That has helped visualize for me.

Thanks. I will try that.

So, just to add to the conversation, I fall in the middle with a 6 stone 1 carat total weight that I wear sometimes with my 2.14 carat solitaire. I think it actually makes the solitaire look smaller but it’s a bling-ier look overall.

I usually wear my solitaire with a half carat half eternity band. I just am not careful enough to want diamonds going all the way around for a day to day ring.

I also echo the recommendation for a spacer. My solitaire is platinum and my bands are white gold, so I went with a silver spacer that has not significant value so it can serve as a buffer between the two without much concern over keeping it in good condition.
Just looking at the pictures, I do think a band with larger diamonds (eternity or not) makes a solitaire look smaller by contrast, but I believe it’s most important to find an aesthetic you like than to get hung up on the numbers.

I LOVE your blingy look!! That’s actually exactly what I am going for. I think the difference may be that your 6 stone band doesn’t stick up farther that your solitaire and spacer. (Taller)

Do you mind telling me the carat size of the stones in your 6 stone band and finger size?

So, your 6 stone band would be around .16ct each stone?

So, I went back to see the details on my 6 stone band, and it’s actually not quite a full carat- only .90! The diamonds are 3.5 mm each, and based on the total carat weight, they’d be about .15 each.
My finger size is roughly 6.25-6.5 (they change quite a bit with the weather).
Glad the pics help!

Thanks!! It looks perfect with your ring!! It’s also set low and that makes a big difference visually. It’s blingy but doesn’t “take over” your solitaire and I love that look!! Thanks for all your help!! :))

Here’s my 1,5ct engagement ring w my 5 stone (idj 1,60cttw) and my 7stone (1.40cttw)

I love both of those!! They are beautiful!! Especially the 5 stone!! I like a lot of bling though, which is why I want a bigger diamond band :))
