FF was chosen to participate in something, and because of this, he was interviewed a couple days ago by a local news channel. So I called him on my way home to ask how it went, and he told me the interview went great, but wanted me to know that he referred to me as his fiance. "Just because it sounds better than ''girlfriend''," he told me. Damn straight it does! I laughed and told him that thousands of people may be watching the interview, so he should be ready to back it up with some action! "If you''re going to talk the talk, honey, you need to walk the walk." He said, "Yeah, I know. I''m working on it." (Which, incidentally, is the same response he gave to my mom when she nonchalantly said "hi, son" to him last week.) Then I said to FF, "Oh, that reminds me, I read an article by a local jeweler that said they''re expecting a diamond price increase to hit their store in about 90 days. So, maybe we should keep that in mind..." He then responded with the utmost confidence, "Oh, it''ll be within the next 90 days!"
I was so excited to hear it, that I forgot to inquire if it was going to be the purchase or the proposal that was going to be within the next 90 days! I''m such a twit when I''m excited!
So that was Wednesday, today is Friday. The countdown has begun.
Wednesday: 90
Thursday: 89
Friday: 88
