Hey ladies,
I''ve been prowling around the boards here for a few months now and figured I''d come out of hiding and say hi. It''s so great listening to other people who are in the same boat as I.
More about me: I''m 27 and my boyfriend and I will celebrate two years next month. However, I''ve recently moved to be closer to my family- and home happens to be 1000 miles away from the bf. It was a tough decision to make (and not exactly ideal), but it was something I needed to do for both of us- and hopefully our relationship will be stronger for it in the end.. In the meantime, we''re logging a lot of time on the phone... and I''m creeping around websites and plotting my dream ring- hahaha, oops! Anyways, that''s where I am right now. Happy to finally leave lurkdom behind

I know how LDRs can be, but I''ve found the old saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" to be true. It''s not easy, of course, but it''s always worth it in the end! How could it not be for the one you love?!

Nice to finally be able to comment when I have something to contribute.

PS is totally giving me something to do with my time while I look for a job back home. Got a lot of (too much!) free time on my hands these days. (Or rather, it''s completely distracting me from actually hunting for a job by roping me into looking at 29 ct diamonds for hours on end). Did any of y''all see that thread? So crazy!!

Welcome babygirl! FF and I are both 27. We did LDR for our first year together because we were both still in high school! He moved out here to be with me after the summer he graduated. It actually worked out quite well for us because 10 years later and we are still together! Glad to see you finally out of lurkdome....

Good for you for following your heart on what you needed for you. LDRs are difficult but certainly not impossible and can really help prioritize things, so good for you for doing what you needed to for your family! Hopefully you and your boyfriend will be living close by each other again, with something sparkly on your finger to boot.
