I dreamed a woman here on pricescope mailed me a check for $10,000.
She said it was just because I was so nice.

Really.

You and DF need to stick together, haha.

Actually it was Dancing Fire''s thread that reminded me of the dream.

I remember showing the check to a friend.
She thought it was great.

It does not take an expert to analyze this dream: it is pure wish-fulfillment. Freud said that every dream (even those we experience as sad or terrifying) contains a wish. Your wish is not deeply buried ;-). I suspect it is not just that you wished to be given money, but also that you wanted to be recognized as special and loveable.

Deb I''m sure everyone on the planet has the same wish.

Dreams are cool.
They can also be informative.
I also suspect they are a connection to the collective unconscious, as Carl Jung spoke of.

I think the language of dreams is symbols.
If you note the associations these symbols hold for you, and what''s going on in your life you can learn and grow from your dreams.

Deb I'm sure everyone on the planet has the same wish.

Perhaps not everyone, but most everyone :-). Let's face it, kenny, if there were not some elements common to most of humanity, no one could psychoanalyze someone else. And if this were not a common theme in dreams and in wishes, I wouldn't have known what it meant to you since I do not know you!

PS-If you were my client, I wouldn't have interpreted it right away. I might have asked you, "What comes to mind when you think of $10,000?".

Deb :-)

Well I dreamed last night that my familys Chirstmas celebration was held at Michael Jackson''s mothers house and my mother in law was seated on the sofa next to Jude Law and Sienna Miller...and Yoko Ono was there...and I continued to apply liquid makeup while sitting on the floor in the middle of all these people. I had hours previously found a pear shaped solitaire in the middle of the highway...that the stone continued to change from white color to an amber to purplish grey. behide me was Mrssalvos voice telling me what type of stone it was...I said well, I will have to PM Kaleigh to tell her all about it.

Meanwhile my MIL continued to explain to me that she knew Jude Law as close as she knew her son and that I should listen to what he had to say about my new found wealth...it was now up to 5 carats. Again I continued to apply my makeup right infront of everyone!! Oh, Pearlman bill was there too! The carpet was that 80''s brown sculptered...and the sofa was also from the 80''s. You think Mrs. Jackson is in a time warp?

Now, why can''t I dream as simple as a money gift dream...do I dream incolors?...oh yeah enough for those of you who don''t.

Any takers on the interpretation?

PS. I hold no respect for the famous non pricescopers mentioned...have no earthly idea why I would ever have them in my thoughts. Now the PS people...well that is another story!! I love my PS family!!

Nope. I would need to know you and your situation very well...then I would be able to ask some questions that might elicit meaningful responses. You, however, would have to do the work via free association. Right now I don''t know whether to ask, "what about Michael Jackson?" or "tell me about liquid makeup".

Deb :-)

AGBF- Thanks for the attempt. I do think I need some serious sofa time. Some one needs to crack open my pumpkin-wrong forum for that.

Just for good measure, I have no idea why Mrs. Jackson would EVER enter my thoughts. I only saw her a few times in still images months ago during his trial. There is absolutely no correlation in my life, choice of music, dress, etc that would warrant that thought. That is the part that really puzzles me.

Thanks again for your reply. I would add more...but apparently I am on a dream tantrum...the one I had last night was a whopper. Think it is best to wait until intermission...to see what the next feature will be! I''ve got the popcorn ready!!

I just figured out my madness...I am using my husbands laptop and have been for a few days. The moniter size and settings are different from my regualr pc. The eyes are straining. I am convinced that is the difference..as no other thing has changed.

Still can''t explain Michael Jacksons mother. Off to dream land.

You saw pictures of her during his trial. That in itself is something. You are free associating to the dream. What about Michael Jackson? What comes to mind?

AGBF-(i just figured out what your abbreviation may stand for...brilliant!!)

Oooo I see how this thing is done...Not going there....

I truly believe this onslaught of wacky dreams has come to be because of this itty bitty screen. I will get my pc back tomorrow and IF I continue to be out in left field...I''ll answer that question...maybe by PMing you. I thiink you just may enjoy the hunt of this subject, and I don''t want to disappoint your intrique.

You're absolutely right! I gravitate to areas where one has to search for the real meaning! I started out determined to be an historian but, while pursuing a Ph.D., found myself attracted to counseling my students. ( I always had crying girls in my office...and not because they cared about high school history! They were preoccupied with fights with their mothers and fights with their boyfriends.) I went into social work and found that the hunt for the reason why someone felt as he did was just as intriguing as the hunt for why the people of a country had acted as they had!

Good luck fixing the dreams by changing the screen!

Deb :-)
and i often think the psychology of countries is the same as the psychology of individuals..... pretty much all have the same needs and seem to operate pretty much the same in similar situations....doesn''t matter if its an individual or a country.

Deb,

I find I am amazed about learning of the PSers. There is such a wide range of people. Simply incredible. I suppose we all love bling...whether it comes from Tiffanys or Walmart...bling is a common thread.

Thrilled to have met you ...and to have learned of your driven calling.
