This was an impulse buy as it happens sometimes. I could tell by the picture that this pair is quite a mismatch. However, I was intrigued by the colour of one diamond - I love champagne and pinkish hues - so I went for it as the price was right. The funny pair arrived. One stone is obviously a modern/brilliant cut, quite white diamond. It has some carbone inclusions but I can only really see them from the side and with a loupe (thanks to my old eyes). The other one is indeed tinted and appears pinkish to champagnish, brownish depending on the light conditions, but not yellowish. It also seems to be an older cut, I can see a culet, however, it is very small. Unfortunately the crown is not chubby but rather flat, but I can see bigger facets than there would be in a brilliant cut. Now... what to do with them? They came as a pair of studs but are indeed a totally mismatched team (which I could tell before). Wear them anyways? Do something else with them? But what? They are around 6mm each and sparkle quite well.
