Gday everyone, So here I am, making only my second ever post on PS. I have been lurking around here for a while and have spent many hours reading about stones, ring settings and romantic proposals when I should have been doing uni assignments (final year this year eek!). But who wants to bore themselves with assignments when there are such cool stories to share in from people all over the world!
So my man and I have been together 4.5 years and have talked about marriage for quite a while. It is only recently that the ring shopping has become more serious and with the wealth of knowledge on pricescope the realisation of a nice ring that doesnt completely blow the budget is starting to come true!
The thing is this is all SO exciting! He has bought a sapphire that has been mined in the area where we both grew up (so i have discovered that there is a romantic bone hiding somewhere in his body haha) and an email has not long been sent off to whiteflash to organise a custom setting. Now to wait....and try to do it patiently. which isnt exactly my strong point haha. AND ive been sworn to secrecy because he wants it to be a surprise to all friends and family, so u guys out there are my only outlet for how I can share how exciting this is!
So who knows if it will be this year or next, or even the one after (men do seem to run by their own clocks!!) but it is an amazing feeling to know that the man you love and want to be around for forever shares the same feelings (or pretending to so he can shut me up about the engagement talk haha).
So here I am in woop-woop in country NSW, giddy with excitement and forever grateful that somebody invented this forum!
More posts to come as things develop, or maybe watch out for the ones titled ''I cant take the suspense anymore!!''. Any tips on patience? I fully know that he will do it when its right, and there is no pressure but at least theres somewhere to release some of the excitment on here!
