The Sweetie and I got married yesterday on a beautiful sunny day! Everything went wonderfully! My photographer sent me a couple of pictures to hold me over while we wait here at the hotel at the airport... we leave for Ireland tonight.
I think my only disappointment was I imagined my bouquet bigger and lusher. She didn''t seem to ''get'' that I wanted a ''wildflower'' kind of asymetrical look, very lush and casual. My bouquet, to me, looked more of the size of a bridesmaid, and the roses and other flowers were too symmetrical for my liking. But when they arrived one hour before we leave, there''s nothing I can do about it. All the other flower arrangements and corsages, etc, were stunning! Since I didn''t have any attendants, my daughter suggested that there was nothing to compare my bouquet to, so she thought the size looked appropriate... but in my heart I wanted a bit bigger.
But that''s my only complaint. The sun shone beautifully! The stars aligned and my daughter even gave birth to my new granddaughter a week early so they were all able to be there.
Sweetie and I drove together to our ceremony and I loved every minute of the ride there! We had a quiet moment at home where I came down the stairs, so he was the first one to see me... and his reaction will forever be in my heart.
So... here''s a pic of ol'' Beltane, the grandma-bride, and her new wonderful husband who has a heart the size of Texas. I''m the luckiest girl in the world right now! ~~more pics to come, I''m not sure when.
