So I realize this is probably less likely than finding a needle in a haystack. However I have mourned the loss of a vintage piece of jewelry for such a long time. I’m just putting this out there hoping for a miracle. It is a beautiful piece and was given to me by my mother. It was stolen from an apartment in Cleveland, Ohio in 1987 along with several other items including an onyx and diamond ring from my grandmother. My only hope is that the uniqueness of the piece might spark someone to recognize it. I’m describing it from memory as accurately as I can. It is a yellow gold ring with a carnelian stone. The stone was set up high in a cup-like bezel. The shank and the bezel are etched. The singular detail that separates it is that the red carnelian stone was carved with an image of a little girl in a swing. It was such a treasure and I would love to be able to retrieve it. Most likely the person who possesses it now has no idea that it was stolen as I’m sure it probably went to a pawn shop (though we did try to trace it at the time). I just thought those of you who frequent this forum would understand the loss of this special ring and might possibly run across some lead or give some advice. It would mean so much to me to find it. Thanks for reading and fingers crossed.
