Hi everyone! This is my first post so bear with me please!
I bought this gorgeous green ring at a local pawn shop for $50.00 0r so. My mom loves emeralds and I got it for her for her May birthday a few years ago. There is no gold stamp inside but it had been sized. The description given to me was "green stone ring." Since then I have started buying little jewelry tools like a diamond tester and gold testing kit. I have found out that the four clear stones are all diamonds and the gold is 14k. But I cannot figure out the green stone. I thought all emeralds were milky and light, but I have seen several in a deep green like this. But it could be chrome diopside or tourmaline. It is a gorgeous deep green large pear shape. How can I find out what the green stone is. Anyone have any ideas for me? Thank you all. this is a great website!!
