Hello! I know this isn''t a ring, but though I''d make a thread for it anyway!

This is a necklace that my Fiance''s mother passed down to me when we got engaged. I don''t know the specs on the diamonds except for that it all totals out to be 1ct.

Another pic so you get a better idea of the size of it

It''s really lovely -- what a great gift!

Is there any way to find out the specs of these diamonds even though they are small and pave-ed into the white gold?

WOW!!! Its really beautiful Daisi!!!! As to the specs, you could ask Tiffany if they have records on the quality of the diamonds used or even if they still make the same necklace and can tell you that way - but I would think they are probably VS clarity and of good colour anyway.

Sounds like you have a gem of a FMIL!!!!

Thank you! I''m really impressed at how well she has taken care of it, it looks like new! Sorry to ask this question (eek), but what is a FMIL?

No worries - it gets confusing with all the abbreviations used here!

That is spectacular!

How beautiful!

My''s FI''s family has some gorgeous diamond heirloom pieces, (Mostly OEC diamond rings), but only the daughters are allowed to inherit the pieces. His mother wears a gorgeous OEC diamond (prob over 2 ct).

Sorry again! LOL, this will be embarrassing, haha, but what does OEC stand for?

No need to apologize Daisi - ask away if you have a question! OEC means old european cut, an old cut type of diamond.

WOW is all I can think of saying. You''re a lucky lady having a MIL that loves you enough to give you something so beautiful.

Beautiful, and congrats on your engagement!

Thank you! I was so shocked when she gave it to me! I actually thought it might have been crystals instead of diamonds at first!(I didn''t want to ask!) But then she told me, LOL.

Very sweet!

WOW! Nice MIL!

Very attractive necklace ...wear it often!~If the necklace is genuine Tiffany then its most likely VS clarity and around G color.I would store the necklace in a box rather then a pouch so the links dont rub and scratch each other.

Yes! good idea! lol thank you!

That is gorgeous. How about some neck shots for us
