Abazias.com return policy, Jewler tried to scare me

Went to a Longs today to look for a setting...
They preceded to tell me of the horror stories of people returning stones here, but the abazias people told them there was no stone in the package. All kinds of horror. I understand that they are far biased, but I would like anyones opinion on this...

Anyone ever return to this store? Other reactions??

PLUS, would an apraiser at a store like this give me a lower report in hopes of scaring me?

I haven't heard about any experiences with returns to Abazias. If you decide to make a return, you might mention that you found them on Pricescope (Did you?) and that you are posting here about your experience.

Anyone who sells diamonds is not an independent appraiser nor is an appraiser employed by that shop. Yes, it is possible that a person who is motivated to sell you a diamond would not provide an accurate grading of a diamond by another seller. It happens.

I wouldn't worry about returning at abazias. if they ever did anything bad they would be destroyed because of pricescope and diamondtalk customers.
i also wouldn't take your diamond to get appraised by somebody who sells diamonds or is associated with a company that sells diamonds. *of course* they are going to put the diamond down. it's much better to send the diamond to Dave atlas to get appraised independently

If you go to Longs, make sure you get some champange while looking at the diamonds. They kept telling me about "Hearts of Fire" the only "perfect" diamond cut within the industry. blablablabla

I bought my diamond at Abazias.com. The diamond was beautiful, in fact it was at least 5K cheaper than Longs. I had it appraised and the ring I bought was cheaper than I bought it for and the diamond almost doubled its value. I was dealing with Oscar within Abazias.com and provided first class service.
