I read this story in the NY Times. That protozoa that calls itself a man didn''t have the gonads to attack its partner. All it could do was take its frustrations out on defenseless creature. We can only hope that someone does the same thing to him.

Cruelty to an animal is to soil and putrify your own soul in my opinion. I really hope that this specimen gets punished to the fullest extent of the law for this

This kind of crap makes me sick!!!! I hope this piece of **** is punished and gets what he deserves!!!!

The only punishment fitting for someone who would do that to a helpless animal is to have the SAME thing done to him. With the same force the dog felt. That means if the man has to be beaten with cement bricks, so be it. I can''t STAND pathetic cowardly vermin who mistreat animals.

it takes the lowest of the low scum on earth to hit an animal like that

That makes me ill. I mean how people can do that is beyond me.

Animal abuse takes many forms. I wasn''t going to write about this, but I''m still seething. For the past 18 years, I''ve been feeding a couple''s cat when they went away on trips or to the seashore - usually every weekend. The cat was obese (probably weighed about 25 pounds) and hadn''t been walking too well lately. When I went into the house to feed her on August 19, she couldn''t walk, couldn''t move her hind legs or pull herself along by her front legs and was screaming. I could see the terror in her eyes. I called the people and told them she was in a bad way and might not live through the night. I asked them what they wanted me to do. They said they knew she was in bad shape and they would be home in the morning. They hadn''t come home by 6pm the next day, and the poor creature had died by then. I would have taken her to a vet if they had asked me to, but they were totally uncaring and indifferent. At least the cat is free of them and I won''t have to go into their filthy dump again. You could make a fortune doing a reality show about their house - dirty dishes always piled at least a foot high in the sink, junk and garbage including dead mice and animal waste all over the floors. I''ve seen pictures of crack houses that were kept cleaner than their house. These people are not kids - they''re in their 60''S and should know better.

Oh, I''ve got to calm down. But this makes me more sick than people mistreating other people. I mean, the poor animal doesn''t know what''s going on. No wonder you''re still seething. I would be. I am!!!

Madame Bijoux-

That is just disgusting. You should report them to your local animal protection service. I ABSOLUTELY would, neighbor or not. Those people deserve to be punished for their neglect to that animal. And, sounds like their home is a health hazard. Wouldn't want that in my neighborhood.

Hi, Dani.
The only agency in my area that comes close being to an animal protection agency is the SPCA, which has a bad reputation. They're notorious for adopting out sick and dying animals and there have been reports in the newspapers about abusive employees. It would have been useless to contact them. They would have said that there was no abuse because the cat was kept indoors and always had food and water within reach. When I met these people in 1986 there were 16 feral cats living in their yard. The animal control people would periodically take some of them and I was able to take one of them in - she was 9 years old when I took her home in 1994, and she lived to be 19. I'm relieved that there are no more cats in their yard or in their house. As for that couple, they can choke in their filth.

They should take him outside and kick and beat him!!!! I hate hearing stories like that, poor defensless animals.

Madam Bijoux~
If the SPCA isn''t reliable, what about the health department? That''s just disgusting and at least the poor kitty is out of her misery. =(
