Hello folks,

I have a custom David Klass diamond ring I'm looking to sell online. As I've never done it before, I'm wondering if anyone can provide any advice for the best/safest way to do so? Seems like some common websites are Diamond Bistro and Loupe Troop. Are there any other sites worth considering? Additionally, how do I best ensure that I and the buyer are most protected? If there are any best practices to selling jewelry online, please share!

For additional context, it's a round brilliant solitaire set in 14K yellow gold. It was purchased in 2016 and worn very minimally since then. It is in excellent condition. Included a few photos, if interested.

1.1 Ct
Size 4.5
GIA certified
Color: H
Clarity: VVS1
Cut: Excellent

I would make a listing on both and link at least one of them to this thread so people can contact you. Make sure you send it via tracked mail. I personally like to add insurance for my piece of mind too but USPS has previously lost a $1500 package that was sent to me and said because it was uninsured, it was too bad so sad for me… so I’m a little salty with them.

You may also look into consignment with someone like Jewels by Grace if you feel uneasy. It’s the easiest because she does everything from listing, photos, collecting the money, etc. I also got more money consigning with her. I had a GIA triple ex MRB and I found that people looking to buy preloved on here/ LT/ DB were looking to pay significantly less than I wanted to let it go for. I made pretty much all my money back by consigning with Grace…

Thank you @winnietucker !! I have not heard of Jewels by Grace yet, and will plan to post on Diamond Bistro and Loupe Troop. How do you handle payment on those sites? Is pay pal the most common?

I only do PayPal. Some do Zelle and Venmo. If you do PayPal goods & service just remember that PayPal charges a fee and that you have to do some tax stuff for it. F&F is my preference.
