Hi everyone, can you ladies and gentlemen please look this stone over and give me your thoughts. I almost bought another stone which GarRy H and Kim N was so helpful which led to me ultimately passing on it. I like this new one I found, even though it's an I color and VS1. But I don't know too much, I appreciate any help!

Oh right on the border of AGS 0! I hope others chime in.

I've been reading so much on this forum about angles and percentages! I'm hoping this is the one

Can you request an Ideal-Scope image? They're not always available, but it would be helpful to see one. The 35.5 crown is a tad high for the 40.8 pavilion, so I would want to confirm whether there's any leakage under the table.

Hi Kim, I did request it…they didn’t have one

Bummer. It's out of range of what we normally recommend, but that doesn't mean it won't still be a good diamond. They have a good return policy, so you could view it with your own eyes and return if it doesn't meet expectations.

Has this diamond shipped yet?
If not, then let's find you a much better option...because I can see a bit of light leakage and lack of scintillation under the table and area with this one.
What carat range and budget cap are you working with?

Hi, no I only placed a hold to confirm with you lovely people. My budget is up to $20k and I would like a 1.8-2.2 carat round GIA.

Thanks so much

Take a look at these.

The white flash one has perfect angles according to tollowski (most probably spelled that wrong)

The white flash one has perfect angles according to Tolkowsky (<------ spelled that right)

And custom cut with an extreme degree of precision that would make him shed tears of joy.

carbonalpine seriously, place that immaculate WF diamond on hold them ask them for videos of it in various lighting conditions. Prepare yourself for jaw dropping results.

Thank you all so much for the help! I found this one, can you guys please take a look? The angles seem perfect, I’m only concerned about the clouds and comments about additional pinpoints and clouds not shown.

Wow, the cut looks great and love the proportions and angles.
My only concern would be the clouds...not sure what the impact would be since it popped a VS1.

That’s my concern as well, the 360 view look phenomenal though. I see lots of sparkle. Hopefully others can chime in about the clouds effect on stone

Same. It looks to be quite an amazing diamond!
If you are located where returns wouldn't be too much of a hassle, then it may very well be worth buying it to set eyes on it to assess the clouding.

My main concerns are

-clouds and they’re importance to stones quality

-if the stone is BGM (brown/green/milky)

I just read about the latter and now it’s another concern lol

It might be the B of BGM, but hard to tell for sure in the style of video. Maybe gray-brown? Unsure.

This is what makes the Whiteflash diamond even more appealing. They have it in house and can view it for you regarding color and inclusions. The cut will be top notch and they will be able to tell you everything you want to know about the diamond. Peace of mind can be priceless!

I have personally seen that 1.87 WF diamond. I visited their office about a week ago and almost purchased it. It is gorgeous, and if it were in your shoes I wouldn't hesitate a split second in purchasing it. The only reason I didn't buy it myself is because I decided to splurge and go a little larger and a little higher color. Trust me, I have VERY discerning eyes, I only buy the best, and I loved that WF diamond. It is a sparkle bomb. Very clean clarity-wise too.

I have nothing of substance to add, but I wanted to chime in and say . . .

1. It looks beautiful to me (as a diamond-loving amateur)
2. The amount of knowledge and detail-orientedness here is outstanding, especially when coupled with how helpful people on this forum are. <3

Adding that WF has a no-hassle return policy, carbonalpine - seriously, do your eyes a favor and give that WF ACA diamond a whirl...if, for any reason, you don't see what a difference a true perfectly cut and proportioned SIC diamond provides, then you simply return it.
You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Caveat Emptor...nope, no need for that. Seriously.

Hi Everyone, I'm so happy with the amount of support from all of you! Means a lot to me. I have a family friend that is a large diamond dealer, I actually didn't consider bothering him for something so small but I decided to give him a call. He actually knows the owner of the JA stone and was able to confirm with seller there is no BGM and it's a very nice stone. He is having the stone sent to his store in the Seybold Building for me to pass by and view in person.

I am pretty excited because although I love the convenience of WF and their stellar feedback, their pricing is reflected. One day I do hope to visit WF and maybe buy a stone.

Anything I should look for while I inspect in person? My friend will obviously thoroughly check it in person but told me the seller is a very large dealer that won't lie about the stone regarding BGM and significance of pinpoints. I'll take some pictures and post them here

Thanks everyone!

Do you have an Idealscope and ASET scope? If not, order those now to evaluate the stone.

How can I order those reports? Do I tell my dealer to send it for inspection?

You can order an ASET scope here to view for yourself.

Thank you Kim, I was reading idealscopes are for round and aset for fancy. Do I need both? Should my dealer have an idealscope on hand to view the stone or should I buy the kit from Garry’s site and take it with me to view stone?

Thanks so much

A lot of dealers won't have a scope. Why don't you ask them? An ASET scope can be used on any shape and provides some additional info over an Ideal-Scope.
