Hi, all-

I''m not sure if this is in the right forum-- my apologies if it is not.

I need to sell my wedding band. Unfortunately, my marriage lasted only 13 months and I am now in need of cash due to both the divorce and now the loss of my job. 2008 was a rough year...honestly, is it 2009 yet? :-)

I recently contacted Bill Pearlman, but wanted to see if anyone here had any other recommendations. I''ve tried Craigslist, but I''m getting no responses (unless you count the scammers); I''m not sure how well it''ll do on Ebay.

It''s a Facets band, so I know that it''s a great product, but I just don''t know what my best option is at this point so that I don''t lose a ton of money on it.

I appreciate any thoughts anyone has...thanks in advance for your help!

I''m so sorry to hear about your marriage. Unfortunately for the same reasons you need to sell it luxury purchases are not getting great resale value right now. Have you called Facets and see if they''ll buy it back by chance? Otherwise you could try ebay and do a buy it now/best offer to see if you can get some takers.

Otherwise Pearlman''s is your best bet IMO...

Hi, you can try selling it on ebay, but don''t expect to get what you paid for it, maybe a third. I buy and sell on ebay, and I have bought a lot and sold a lot. The things that sell well, are things that are unusual or hard to find. If you really need a certain amount of money, do a Buy it Now, with the ability for your bidder/buyer to "make an offer". That way, you won''t get ripped off. I always do the "buy it now" kinda high, and let people make offers. My price is usually what is reasonable for the item. I can''t tell you how many times, I started selling something for .99 and it sold for .99!!!! Nothing really valuable, but, come on. Oh well, it''s hard to sell anything right now. Good luck!!!

I think Pearlman''s is your best bet. But would also call Signed Pieces and talk to Isaac, see what he has to say. I am sorry about your marriage, I am hoping 2009 is a much better year for you!!!

Thank you for the quick replies. I''m going to contact Facets and see if they can do anything...I''ll also give Ebay a shot. It can''t hurt to try. :-)

Thanks for the well wishes, too...they are very much appreciated.

Hi, sorry to hear about your marriage.

You can try this site: http://www.exboyfriendjewelry.com/
I saw it in a local newspaper and also a magazine, they seem to be pretty popular for people in your situation.
Good luck.
